2013 Acura ZDX
Acura or Honda has released the new revised 2013 Acura ZDX in crossover-coupe model. This model will get a restyled grille; parking sensors front and rear; power folding mirrors and a suite of safety features that include Forward Collision Warning, and Lane Departure Warning. But we have a bad news, the automaker will discontinue the ZDX after the 2013 model year. Because, Honda sold just 48 ZDXs in September and only 642 have been sold in the U.S. year to date.
“Moving forward, we will continue to advance the Acura lineup with a focus on new core models, like the recently redesigned RDX and the upcoming all-new RLX flagship sedan,” said Jeff Conrad, Acura’s vice president and general manager, in a statement on Wednesday.
2013 Acura ZDX come with all-wheel drive system and powered by 3.7-liter V6 engine producing 300 horsepower. ZDX’s engine fuel economy is 16 mpg in city driving and 23 mpg on the highway.
For 2013 model, the ZDX will receive several new exterior features, such as a redesigned front grille, front and rear bumpers with integrated parking sensors, power-folding auto-dimming side mirrors and a dark accent on the wheels for a sportier finish. The interior receives a new trim finish on the center console and a high contrast interior option.
On the interior, the ZDX’s interior is very similar to that of the TL sedan. A navigation screen is mounted high atop the center stack, with plenty of hooding to protect it from outside light. The center stack has the same overall layout as the TL, although it is a bit more sculpted. It gains a new finish for the latest model year. The new ZDX also features Acura’s quad-pack gauge cluster.
Standard features include perforated Milano leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, a navigation system with an eight-inch display, a 10-speaker, 435-watt ELS surround system with 15 GB of memory and USB and AUX connectivity, a rear camera, front parking sensors, a smart key with push-button start, a panoramic sunroof and dual-zone automatic climate control.
In term of safety, the new ZDX fitted with dual front, side and side curtain airbags in addition to traction and stability control systems and a tire pressure monitoring system. New for the latest model year is a Lane Departure Warning system, which informs the driver if the ZDX begins to drift out of its lane, and a Forward Collision Warning system that alerts the driver if it detects an impending collision with a car ahead.
The revised Acura ZDX 2013 has begun to sale on October 19. Base price start from $51,815, including an $895 destination charge, or about $4,800 more expensive than previous model that priced at $47,015, including an $895 destination charge.
