2013 Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster
British sport car manufacturer, Aston Martin finally released the new Roadster model named 2013 Aston Martin V12 Vantage after being rumored for about 3 years. The automaker say that this model will only available in select markets as a limited edition.
The new 2013 Aston Martin Vantage Roadster will be powered by 6.0-liter V-12 engine which can deliver total 510 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque. V12 engine will be paired with a traditional six-speed manual gearbox. When at full tilt, this Roadster can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.5 second and capable to reach 190 mph in the top speed.
The Vantage Roadster also gets a Sport mode button, which enables the driver to select between two different powertrain modes. Normal mode is the default from start-up, suited to everyday driving situations. Sport mode, is designed for use in more dynamic driving situations. It creates sharper responses, a sharper throttle response, more torque and the Exhaust system bypass valves are also kept open for longer.
Some standard features of the Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster are carried over from the V12 Vantage Standard Coupe, some elements are redesigned. The V12 Vantage features a different rear boot lid and lower front air intake to bring the handling dynamics closer to its coupe counterpart. The chassis gets a few changes including a modified rear damper set-up, front and rear damper valve tuning and a new rear spring design.
The Vantage Roadster gets carbon fiber side strakes, a carbon fiber front splitter and rear diffuser, carbon fiber mirror caps and carbon fiber rear lamp infills. The alloy wheels design is brand new. The rear boot lid incorporates a more pronounced lip and the diffuser houses a large, center-mounted oil cooler and two large exhaust tips. Both front splitter and rear diffuser are hand weaved.
On the interior, the new Vantage Roadster uses glass switches in the lower center stack. An interior trim package comprising carbon fiber fascia and carbon fiber gearshift surround is available.
2013 Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster will only available 101 unit to order in select markets as a limited edition. In the U.K. V12 Vantage Roadster price will start from $233,000. While for U.S. market, the Aston Martin not yet announced any information.
