2013 BMW Alpina B7 Sedan
BMW automaker and Alpina tuning division has officially announced the pricing detail, specification and release date for the new 2013 BMW Alpina B7 4-doors sedan model. Alpina B7 come with more power, new features, more sporty design and aerodynamics body.
2013 BMW Alpina B7 is powered by a 4.4-liter twin-turbo direct injection engine which can produce maximum 540 horsepower and 538 lbs-ft of torque (an increase of 40 horsepower and 22 lbs-ft from 2012 model). The engine will be paired with a new Alpina eight-speed automatic transmission with manual shift control. According to Alpina, the new B7 now accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds (4.5 for the previous RWD model) and 4.4 with xDrive , while top speed climbs from 175 mph to 194 mph (193 with xDrive).
BMW buyer is able to choose between a choice of short- or long-wheelbase with either sDrive (rear-wheel drive) or xDrive (all-wheel drive). Alpina CEO Andy Bovensiepen expects an even split among all four models when the car reaches U.S. dealerships in September. Annual sales are expected to be around 400-450 units, equating to a third of Alpina’s global output. The new B7 also has 30 new parts that will improve both design and aerodynamics body. Alpina BMW B7 new parts will include new BMW kidney grilles, updated Xenon Adaptive headlights, LED front fog lights, and updated tail lights.
Alpina B7 body is stand on a standard run-flat performance tires wrapped with 20-spoke 21-inch alloy wheels and is painted in the famous Alpina Blue Metallic paint.
Inside, the new Alpina B7 2013 come with a standard and luxury features which include four-zone automatic climate control, power sunroof, high-gloss wood trim, heated and cooled 16-way multi-contour seats, voice-activated navigation system on a 10.2-inch color monitor, HD radio and BMW Assist emergency and information communications. Alpina B7 also has an additional high-tech features which include side-view cameras, high-beam assistant, lane departure warning, blind spot detection, and dual LCD screens for rear seat entertainment.
In addition, an unique Alpina steering wheel replaces the usual paddle shifters with integrated buttons at nine and three o’clock. Automatic start/stop is also standard to reduce fuel consumption.
The new 2013 BMW Alpina B7 will be available by special order through BMW dealers starting in September 2012. Price will start from $127,600 (B7 Standard Wheelbase), $130,600 (B7 SWB with xDrive), $131,500 (B7 Long Wheelbase), and $134,500 (B7 LWB with xDrive), all prices not including an $895 shipping fee.
