2013 Honda CR-Z Hatchback
The new 2013 Honda CR-Z is two-seat hatchback model that has made its first debut at 2012 Indonesia International Auto Show. Honda has also confirmed to include this model at 2012 Paris Auto Show.
Th new 2013 Honda CR-Z 1.5-liter gasoline four-cylinder engine now deliver 119 horsepower (112 on the previous mode). The change from a Nickel-metal hybrid (Ni-MH) to a Lithium Ion battery also has been accompanied by an increase in power from 14 PS (10 kW) to 20 PS (15 kW).
The Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) hybrid system now deliver a combined 134 horsepower and 140 lb-ft of torque, (increase 12 horsepower than previous model). With this power, CR-Z hatch will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 9.0 second and hit 124 mph in the top speed. The combined fuel consumption is 56.5 mpg and 116 g/km of CO2 emission.
In addition, to help the driver harness the extra horses, Honda has fitted the new Honda CR-Z 2013 with a new Plus Sport button on the steering wheel, and if the battery is at least 50-percent full, a push of the S+ button engages additional electric boost for up to ten seconds.
The revised CR-Z can be identified by a range of styling upgrades that include a new bumper, 17-inch alloys, and revisions to the interior trim.
For European market, 2013 Honda CR-Z Hatchback will go on sale in January 2013, US market will follow shortly. While for the price will be announced closer to its release date.
