Kia motors released the first official photos for the new 2013 Kia Carens ahead of its world prmiere at the 2012 Paris Auto Show later this month. This year model is third generation of Carens compact MPV. The Carens latest edition will come in five- and seven-seat arrangement.
Rumor say that the new 2013 Kia Carens engine is based from the latest Pro cee’d. Therefore, the engine options is likely to available with a similar range of cee’d engines, including a 99-horsepower 1.4-liter and 128-horsepower 1.6-liter gasoline engine. The 1.6 liter diesel engine will also available.
Note : The full European engine line-up will be announced at the Paris motor show, although the UK line-up won’t be announced until 2013.
While for the transmission, a manual transmission and a dual-clutch automatic would be a great choice for this compact MPV.
Penned by ex- Audi designer Peter Schreyer around a theme that Kia describes as “dynamic space,” the next-gen Carens wears a much sleeker design than the current model, which dates back to Kia’s previous design language. It has a low roofline and a long wheelbase, giving it an athletic stance that is not common in Europe’s minivan segment.
The new Kia Carens 2013 is available as a five-seater and a seven-seater, the new Carens’ interior is lightyear ahead of the outgoing model. It features a wide touch-screen to control the infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster and a conventional floor-mounted shifter.
The manufacturer will reveal full pricing and specification details for the new 2013 Kia Carens closer to its release date in March 2013. It’s expected to start at around £16,000.
Kia says that the new compact MPV has been developed from the ground-up and it’s an entirely new car “designed and engineered to meet the needs of modern families.”
