2014 Kia Forte | Cerato or K3
Kia officially released the first pictures for 2014 Kia Forte which is often called Creato or K3. Forte model was first marketed in 2009 and in 2011 this model has become the best-selling Kia’s Vehicle with more than 445,000 units delivered.
The all-new 2014 Kia Forte (also known as K3 in South Korea or Cerato in some countries) compact sedan (also known as Forte in some countries), is scheduled to go on sale this fall in Korea and arriving in North American dealerships at first quarter of 2013 with coupe and hatchback variants.
The the new Kia Forte is either based on, or heavily inspired, by the second generation of the European Kia Cee’d that was revealed in five-door hatchback and station wagon model at this year’s Geneva Motor Show in March 2012.
The 2014 Kia K3 is said to be longer, lower and wider than the outgoing model, which should promise more space inside, and will once again come in the choice of sedan, coupe and hatch bodystyles.
Featuring futuristic and dynamic styling, the 2014 Kia Creato features LED front and rear lamps, a sleeker profile, and a chrome-finished beltline. The new Kia Forte will also boast upgraded equipment, improved quality, a more spacious cabin and a revised engine line-up that delivers class-leading fuel economy.
The previous Forte model powered with 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine which can generate maximum 148 horsepower. Fuel economy is 27/36 mpg city/highway. There is also available 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with 126-horsepower and 1.6-liter diesel as an options.
Kia Motors America would not confirm reports that the 2014 Kia Forte will make its formal debut at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show.
