2012 Lotus Evora GX Racing Car
Lotus Racing Division launched 2012 Lotus Evora GX to compete in the newly established GX experimental class in the Grand-Am Rolex Sport Car series for 2013 race season. This model is based from previous Evora GTC racer that competes in the regular GT class.
2012 Lotus Evora GX racing car model powered with 4.0-liter V6 engine which can generate 440 horsepower (328 kW / 446 PS) and 440Nm (324 lb-ft) of torque. This model also supported with an XTRAC six-speed sequential gearbox.
Evora GX will gets special touches including an aggressive body kit, a lack of traction control and a steep price.There is also Evora GX new features, includes carbon fiber doors, a roof and engine cover, plexiglass windows, and new yellow headlamps. The car also comes with a new race-specification aero kit with new parts being fitted in including a new front splitter an bumper, a series-required rear wing, and a new set of wider wheels wrapped in Continental racing tires. Evora GX total weight is 2,535 pounds, 22 pounds heavier than previous Evora GTC version.
In the interior, Lotus Evora GX 2012 features all the race-specification requirements, such as : the race bucket seats, the roll bars, and the race steering wheel.
McMahon Raceworks has placed an order and should have the car on the starting grid at the first race next year. For the price, 2012 Lotus Evora GX race car will start from $335,000 (€276,335 / £216,200 at current exchange rate).
