2013 Maserati GranCabrio MC Stradale
Italian automaker Maserati officially announced the new 2013 Maserati GranCabrio MC Stradale at 2012 Paris Auto Show. This model was inspired by the GranTurismo Convertible.
2013 Maserati GranCabrio MC will be powered by 4.7 liter V8 engine that delivers a total 453 horsepower (460 PS / 338 kW) and 520 Nm (383 lb-ft) of torque, or 10 hp and 20 Nm more than the GranCabrio standard and will be mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. This setup will sprint the car close to the coupe’s 186 mph top speed, but it’s at a slight disadvantage with the added weight of the soft top roof.
For the body design, GranCabrio MC is 48 millimeters longer than the standard GranCabrio and will adopt a highly sporty and aggressive look. The new MC Stradale is also lighter (110 kg or 242 pounds) than the “Sport” model and also features faster gear changes from the MC Race Shift electro-actuated transmission and more hardcore suspension settings.
The MC Stradale exterior was upgrade as seen in the visual photo which includes the redesigned front and rear bumpers, hood air scoops, a deep rear diffuser with twin tailpipes, a boot lid spoiler and different alloy wheels. Inside the spoiler, built into the luggage compartment, is the third brake light. The standard version comes in the same color as the body and, within the various car customization packages, it is also available with a carbon finish.
The new 2013 Maserati GranCabrio MC Stradale has made its official debut at 2012 Paris Auto Show. The manufacturer not yet announced pricing detail and release date for this model, but we estimate this new Maserati sport car will be priced at $150,000.
