2013 Maserati Quattroporte
MASERATI has revealed the brand new sedan model named 2013 Maserati Quattroporte ahead its world premiere at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show in January. Quattroporte body is almost looks like the GrantTourismo but presented in luxury sedan form.
For 2013 Maserati Quattroporte model, the automaker have not yet been released any information about engine and powertrain. Although we do know that the available powertrains are all new, and were developed in conjunction with Ferrari. There will be a V8 line-up, which is rumored to be naturally aspirated and put out around 520 horsepower, as well as a bi-turbo V6 option capable of making around 420 horsepower.
According to Maserati powertrain director Paolo Martinelli, 2013 Quattroporte has more power and also achieving better fuel efficiency than any other outgoing model.
The Quattroporte body design still retain classic Maserati design principles blending dynamic lines with classic Italian elegance. Elements such as the front grill, the three side vents and the triangular C pillar retain the style of the outgoing model while the strong belt line that runs through the entire side of the car gives to car a new muscular feel together with the frameless doors side windows.
On the interior, the new Maserati Quattroporte stressing the simplicity of lines and the full functionality of the on-board instrumentation. “Functional elements are blended with soft quality surfaces made of prestigious woods and refined leathers,” said the head of the Maserati design center, Lorenzo Ramaciotti.
Maserati has targeted to increase 2013 Maserati Quattroporte sales up to 50,000 units a year by 2015. For Quattroporte 2013 year model, the automaker has not announced any information about launch date and pricing detail
