2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Price & Release Date
Mercedes-Benz has officially released their GT model for 2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG. The GT model always provide an additional performance, transmissions, dynamic suspension as well as a more sporty interior and aerodynamic body design from standard model. Even, 2013 Mercy SLS AMG GT come with two variant coupe and roadster presented with tagline “HARDCORE”.
The new 2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT powered by 6.2-liter fire-breathing V8 engine. This line-up get some upgrade power from 563 horsepower to 583 horsepower (435 kW) @ 6800 rpm with 479 found-feet of torque @ 4750 rpm. This SLS AMG GT model will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in juts 3.6 seconds, 1 second faster than previous model and reached maximum speed 197 mph, same as SLS standard. According to the automaker, SLS AMG GT is 14/20 mpg city/ highway and 15 mpg combined. CO2 emissions is 308 g/km. The AMG GT engine performance will be supported with seven-speed AMG Speed-shift dual-clutch transmission.
There is also a benefits from a new AMG Adaptive Performance Suspension setup. While the car still features twin aluminum wishbones all around, it now sports some specially tuned electronically-adjustable dampers. Compared with the previous setup, the new suspension is said to be stiffer and much more aggressive overall. The most hardcore setting for the suspension is “Sport plus” mode, which the manufacturer says is proven to deliver faster lap times than with the regular SLS AMG. All of these settings are controlled via the AMG DRIVE UNIT, a carbon fiber encased control module located in the center console.
To set apart the latest SLS AMG GT, the car gets darkened lights,19-inch alloy wheels up front, wrapped with sticky 265/35-series rubber, while 20-inch rollers are found at the rear, wearing even stickier 295/30-series tires. A glossy black finish is used on elements such as the side mirror housing and fender strakes, while GT badge on the rear decklid should ensure no one mistakes the new car for the regular model.
On the interior, there is more of the glossy black finish on the center console and door panels, red seat-belts and red-trimmed floor mats, and a custom AMG Performance steering wheel with a real metal insert and side grips finished in Alcantara.
For Germany market, 2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT is already available this October 2012. The automaker has also announced the arrival of this model US market in mid-November

FYI: In the U.S., the 2012 SLS AMG coupe currently is priced from $190,475, while the SLS AMG roadster starts at $196,975.
