2012 Mini John Cooper Works GP
MINI will be launched the new 2012 Mini John Cooper which was recently seen in Germany’s Nürburgring race track. This car claimed to be the fastest car in the history of the Mini manufacturer. It’s proven with the tests at Germany’s Nürburgring circuit that only takes 8 minutes and 23 seconds, 19 second more faster than it’s predecessor MINI Cooper S.
For the performance, Mini John Cooper Works GP 2012 powered with 1.6 liter twin-scroll with turbocharged which can produce 200 – 230 horsepower.
Mini Cooper GP first launched in 2006, for this model only 2000 MINI car that produced in special edition. From 2000 units at the time only 415 made it to the United States. Not surprisingly prices for these cars were well north of $30,000.
MINI reveals that this Cooper GP model uses a chassis that has been upgraded. In addition, some parts are undergoing revision, such as an adjustable sport suspension and damping level.
In the side of exterior, they enlarge the front and rear apron as well as other changes to the roof spoiler, side skirts and special wheels. It is intended to strengthen the sport character of this car. While in the interior, MINI add inspirational racing feeling with the rear seats can be removed to reduce weight.
