2013 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S
Porsche has officially announced pricing detail, full specification detail and launch date for the new 2013 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S. Turbo S trim level first came to the Cayenne SUV 2006 model.
2013 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S powered by Twin-Turbocharged 4.8-Liter V8 engine which can produce maximum 550 Horsepower @ 6,000 Rpm and 750 Nm (553 pound-feet) @ 2,250 to 4,500 Rpm. The engine will be mated with 8-Speed Tiptronic transmission delivering the ponies to all four wheels via Porsche Traction Management. Turbo S Twin-Turbocharged engine is expected to return 15 mpg in the city, 22 mpg on the highway, and 17 mpg combined fuel economy rating with 270 g/km of CO2 emission.
Cayenne Turbo S will accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in only 4.5 Seconds and will reach 175 mph (280 km/h) in the top speed.
The Turbo S gets the regular Cayenne Turbo’s impressive Porsche Active Suspension Management dampening control and air suspension, but adds Dynamic Chassis Control which further helps to reduce roll while cornering via hydraulically-operated roll bars.
There is also Porsche’s Torque Vectoring Plus system, which can vary torque between the rear wheels. This works in conjunction with an electronically controlled differential lock offered with the Porsche’s Sport Chrono package, which comes standard on the latest addition to the automaker’s lineup.
Cayenne Turbo S Visually setting apart the range-topping Cayenne Turbo S from lesser models is a high-gloss black finish on the air intakes, headlight surrounds and lower part of the side mirror housing, unique 21-inch alloy wheels, Cayenne Turbo S badging, and quad-exhaust tips finished in polished aluminum.
On the inside, Porsche made sure to let you know that you are driving its top-level Cayenne by installing an exclusive leather interior in all Turbo S models. This interior is available in black with Carrera red or black with Luxor beige and features contrasting stitching for added luxury and style. Also included is the carbon interior package.
Turbo S also offer a Sport Chrono Package with PCM for free, including am analog and digital timer that tells you total driving time, lap time, lap distance covered, and individual lap times. PCM (Porsche Communication Management) also includes a 7-inch high-resolution screen and it controls the navigation system, CD/DVD player, sound settings, on-board computer, telephone, and high-speed internet service. With the PCM, you also get a high-speed hard drive to store songs and other data.
Standard on the Turbo S model is the 14-speaker Bose surround-sound system, boasting 585 watts and a 200-watt active subwoofer. You can opt for the Burmester 16-speaker 1,000-watt surround sound system for a little added scratch.
To make driving and parking a little easier, Porsche fit the Cayenne Turbo S with ParkAssist, a reversing camera and its adaptive cruise control with Porsche Active Safe (PAS), which regulates your speed relative to the car in front of you.
For UK market, 2013 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S will go on sale in January 2013 priced at £107,460. This model will also make its world premiere at 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show before hitting US showrooms next spring. Pricing will start at $146,975, including $975 destination charge.
