2013 Renault Clio RS 200
Beside the Standard Clio Hatchback and Clio Estate, Renault also bring the exclusive 2013 Renault Clio RS 200 Turbo model at 2012 Paris Auto Show. Same as standard hatchback, Clio RS also come with hatchback body but with more power and more sporty design than standard model.
2013 Renault Clio RS 200 will be powered by a new 1.6 turbocharged engine paired with the EDC dual clutch six-speed transmission and paddle gear changes. The RS turbo engine will produces maximum 200 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 177 lb-ft of torque at just 1,750 rpm. This maximum torque is then consistently available at higher revs – up to 5,600 rpm – thanks to the turbocharger.
The Clio RS 200 also come Normal and Sport mode which are selectable with the help of an RS button. The changes made have to do with the engine parameters and gearbox mapping, as wheel as the response of the throttle pedal and the steering feel.
The new Clio RS 200 Turbo will include design elements already seen on other Renault Sport models. These elements include a unique grille and spoiler, new front and rear bumpers, wide-set LED daytime running lights, sill extensions, and standard 17-inch wheels, or 18-inch available as an option. At the rear, a dual-tailpipe exhaust system and a sporty sound signature will complete the exterior look.
Inside, you will find the bucket seats with optional leather upholstery and will provide extra lateral support. The steering wheel is flanked by two gearshift paddles, a dedicated instrument pack, and aluminum-capped pedals. This model will also offer hi-tech features like a Multimedia system, Touchscreen navigation, Bluetooth radio with USB connectivity, Hands-free entry and starting, driver aids, Climate control, Parking sensors
The RS buyer can also benefit from the Renault Sport exterior personalization program which includes a choice of four themes, each of which can be combined with different motifs, upgrade elements, and trim packs.
The new 2013 Renault Clio RS 200 will go on sale in early next year. Prices will be announced closer to its release date.
