2013 Toyota Auris Touring Sports
Toyota announced the first estate or wagon variant from Auris model at 2012 Paris Auto Show. This model called 2013 Toyota Auris Touring Sports and will be offered in hybrid form.
2013 Toyota Auris Touring Sports will available in both of petrol and diesel engine. The petrol line-up will include a 1.3-liter and 1.6-liter petrol, while for diesel available in a choice of 1.4-liter and 2.0-liter. There is also a 1.8-liter full hybrid powertrain with standard CVT automatic transmission.
For the body design, Auris Touring Sports has kept the 2600mm wheelbase of the hatchback but is 285mm longer so it provides more loadspace. Both versions share the same front end look, but the profile of the estate version is different, with the steeply raked windscreen flowing into the extended roofline. Speaking of the roofline, it comes with anodized aluminum rails and also has a built-in rear spoiler.
At the rear, the Toyota Auris Touring Sports features a new bumper and tailgate design, with the loadspace sill set 80 mm lower than that of the hatchback and the number plate raised to maintain balance in the proportions. As with the rest of the Auris range, a new, wraparound rear combination lamp design reinforces the dynamic shape of the rear wing, new D pillar design and rear screen.
The new 2013 Toyota Auris Touring Sports will go on sale in early 2013. Pricing detail and fully specification detail will follow closer to its release date.
