2013 Volkswagen Santana
Volkswagen has unveiled the second generation of VW Santana model which is one of the most successful models in China. 2013 Volkswagen Santana will come with clean and dynamic design and several additional features than the previous model.
For the engine line-up, 2013 Volkswagen Santana come with a choice of two 4-cylinder engine. The first options will feature a 1.4-liter with 90 horsepower (66 kW) and a 1.6-liter producing 110 horsepower (81 kW). Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions have been reduced by 28 percent compared to the previous model.
New VW Santana body is based on Polo PQ25 platform which has a 2630 mm wheelbase and offers 480 liters of cargo capacity. The Santana sedan body come with clean and dynamic design.
In term of safety, VW Santana 2013 will be equipped with a standard features like ABS, ESC electronic stabilization program along with front, side and head airbags. Depending on equipment line, the Santana comes with air conditioning or automatic climate control, alloy wheels, electric sliding sunroof, leather upholstery and parking sensors.
Inside, the new Santana come with clean and basic dashboard features the bare minimum of equipment needed in a 21st-century car: A climate control unit, a stereo system, a storage bin and an instrument cluster. Customer who are after upmarket extras such as a touchscreen infotainment system and a dual-zone A/C will need to shop elsewhere.
The new 2013 Volkswagen Santana is produced in China at Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive and will make its official debut at Guangzhou Motor Show next month. This model will go on sale in early 2013 and only available in China market. While for the pricing detail will be announced later.
