2014 Volkswagen GTI Concept | VW Golf
German Automobile Manufacturer, Volkswagen has released the official photo and unveiled the specification detail of the new VW Golf model, 2014 Volkswagen GTI Concept at 2012 Paris Auto Show. At the show, this model will be exhibited alongside with other Golf model “BlueMotion”.
For the engine, 2012 Volkswagen GTI Concept come with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine which produce 217 -hp (17-hp more than outgoing GTI). For those of you who want more power, new Voklswagen GTI also available 227-hp engine. The engine will be mated with a six-speed manual or six-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission, and still come with front-wheels drive only. Like mostly modern vehicle, all GTI’s will come with an engine stop-start system.
We predicts that the new VW GTI will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 6.6 seconds and reaches maximum speed of 152 mph. With the new 227-hp performance pack, look for a 0 to 60 time of 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph.
Compared with the regular Golf, the GTI body is 15 millimeters lower. Its features sportier bumpers, and upgraded brakes with red calipers. Wheel sizes range from 17 to 18 inches, and in addition to the Denver style wheels, customers will be able to order Detroit, Glendale or Brooklyn patterns.
On the interior, the cabin remains much the same as the one that appears in the standard Golf. There are, however, contrasting red stitching on some of the leather surfaces, a flat-bottom steering wheel and a traditional GTI tartan pattern on the seats. Standard features include air conditioning, a new fatigue detection system, a unique GTI instrument cluster, red ambient lighting, and brushed stainless steel pedals and door sills.
The new 2012 Volkswagen GTI Concept has made its world premiere at 2012 Paris Auto Show. Volkswagen not yet announced pricing detail and release date for this model. But we except the GTI base trim-level will start from $24,000.
